OUR STORY
MEET ANNETTE
I have always loved to sew and do crafts but with raising 4 children, working full-time as a registered nurse and then a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, I had to put sewing on the backburner. My love of sewing was reignited when grandchildren started coming along and I wanted to make a quilt for them. I was hooked on quilting! I did sewing machine quilting but it was so hard to control the fabric and I felt there was a better way. I had a friend with a longarm who quilted my tops and I really liked the look better. As retirement was on the horizon, I decided to look at buying a longarm.
I watched a lot of Youtube videos and decided that I wanted to invest in a longarm quilter and start a business. I have been quilting on my Gammill Statler for 3 years and love it more every day. I do mostly computerized quilting but some freehand also. I love the creative way quilting on the longarm brings the fabric and patterns of the quilt top to life!
As a nurse, I was use to continuing education and how it made me a better nurse. I have used the same approach in quilting and have done many quilting workshops along with online education from the best instructors. I have made many quilts just to practice the skills that were taught.
